Gorge Getaway!

• This option will give you the opportunity to canoe/kayak down the stunning Gorge de l'Ardeche and experience this beautiful nature reserve in a small group. Accompanied by an experienced Level 3 BCU coach, you will be guided down the river, negotiating the rapids as you go. Generally a grade 2 river with a number of flat sections, the Ardeche is suitable for all levels and abilities.

• ITINERY:  Arrive for Friday evening, into Vallon for an explore on Saturday morning and then head off for the river. With a guide to help you get the most from your trip, you will paddle down river and through the Pont d'Arc. Return to the hotel in the evening (which is only 1km from where we stop). Sunday we head back to the river and paddle through the gorge and finish the river. You will be taken back to the Hotel with time to freshen up before heading into town for a meal. Leave Monday morning.

• Includes: Transfers from Nimes/ Avignon; 3 Nights accommodation (B&B); packed lunch for sunday. Choice of canoe or kayak; use of waterproof barrel plus benefit of an experienced guide.                              (Flight not included)

Photography Break!

• We also offer a short Photography break which includes an optional short trip on the river. Discover the magnificent gorge from the best viewpoints and visit ancient medieval villages. If you want to change perspective then we can take a trip on the river in canoes. With waterproof barrels to protect the camera's etc you will be able to stop for regular photo opportunities and will be perfectly placed for action shots of rapids. 

• ITINERY: Day one- Arrive by early evening, settle in and enjoy a short walk to the fabulous Pont d'Arc. Day Two- visit medieval villages such as Labeaume, Vogue and Balazuc whose narrow streets and historic buildings provide an abundance of opportunities. Day Three- you will be taken to a number of spectacular viewpoints along the Gorge in the morning and then have the choice in the afternoon of a river trip; time in Vallon; or relax by the Pont d'Arc. Leave after breakfast on Day Four.
