The Belved Hotel
A taste of real France in the Ardèche
The hotel has recently been taken over by new management and with the benefit of a great relationship with them, we are able to provide a superior level of service. They are situated directly opposite the famous Pont d'Arc but set back just far enough (300m) to provide seclusion and tranquility away from this popular tourist destination. There is also access for hotel residents onto the pebble beach directly opposite the hotel as well as the New Swimming Pool.
"When you need to recharge your batteries, look no further than the unspoilt Ardèche countryside". FrenchEntrée.com
There is a large car park next to the hotel for guests and it is recommended that you have some transport to best experience the whole area in your free time. However, local taxi's are available. All rooms are en-suite with telephone and tv facilities. Internet access can also be achieved from the hotel with free use of a computer or wi-fi hotspots if you have your own.
All the food prov ided by the hotel has been sourced locally (where possible)
and creates an amazing selection of sustainable produce. From local pork and wild boar to goats cheese and chestnuts - all Ardèchoise specialities! There is also an abundance of locally produced wines freely available. A trail also leads directly from the back of the hotel and
winds up through the trees to a spectacular view point, perfect for an
evening stroll.
The top of the Pont d'Arc can be seen from the hotel and if you are
lucky, you may get the opportunity to see the family of Bonelli's Eagles
that nest there. Slightly smaller than the Golden Eagle, this rare breed has approx 1000 pairs
living within Europe (of which 700 pairs are found in Spain). In 2009 there were only 29 breeding pairs in France!
Situated only 6km from the town of Vallon-Pont-d'Arc along the gorge road, "Le Belved" is a popular destination for the French tourists who prefer the tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle. A great opportunity to really experience this magical and welcoming part of France nestled right on the edge of the 'Réserve Naturelle'.
Remember, don't just visit...Experience!
