This last point is especially important to us as our main activity – the two-day guided river trip – takes place right in the heart of the Ardeche nature reserve.
Experience Ardeche was set up in 2008 by Danny Cummin. Danny first came to the region back in 1989 for an activity holiday with some school friends. He loved the place so much that a few years later (1995) he returned to train as a canoeist and has been working on the river ever since. He is now French (BPJEPPS) and UK (BCU Level 3) qualified and is one of the most experienced and well-respected guides on the Ardeche – rest assured, with Experience Ardeche, you’re in safe hands.
Since setting up in 2008, Experience Ardeche has established itself as an independent activities holiday company specialising in canoe and kayak trips on the Ardeche river. We now offer a range of holiday packages and accommodation types to suit all levels, abilities and requirements.

Both Danny and Blue love what they do, so much so that when they’re not paddling the Ardèche Gorge they’re exploring other rivers or training for competitions. Danny qualified and trained as a member of the GB2 rafting team alongside Blue who was also a founding member of the Great Britain Masters Rafting Team. Between them, Danny and Blue have clocked up well over 20,000 hours of experience paddling the Gorge – their knowledge of the river is extensive and second to none.
Rest assured, you are in safe hands; you will have a fun and safe trip, learning about the Gorge (the river and wildlife) and discovering hidden caves and beauty spots along the way.

We are proud to provide our clients with 100% financial protection for all payments made to us for your holiday. As a member of the Travel Trust Association (T.T.A.), all payments are made directly into a trust account managed by trustees of the T.T.A. and it is not released to us until after you have received your holiday.
We also purchase an insurance policy (Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan) that protects your money, which we include with all our holidays free of charge. This protects your payments so that in the rare case that we should cease to trade – your payments are still available to provide your holiday or would be refunded in full.
