A number of direct flights are available.
Flybe go to Avignon from Southampton, Exeter and Birmingham.
Ryan air fly to Nimes & Marseille from London Stansted, Luton and Edinburgh.
EasyJet fly to Montpellier from London Gatwick and Luton and Marseille form London Gatwick, Luton, Bristol, Manchester and Glasgow.

Trains...
Quick, green and arrive in Montelimar, Avignon or Nimes.
Trains are available from London via Paris or Lille and cost as little as £109pp. (Total travel time approx. 6-7 hrs).

Automobiles...
Have the freedom to explore on your journey (about 10 hours from Calais).
Driving down gives you the ability to bring as much with you as you like (and take back a little more duty free?) and also to discover local villages in and around the Ardeche Gorge at your leisure.

Car Hire
If you are arriving by train or plane then it is likely that you will require some transport to get yourself to the Gorges de l’Ardeche. In order to best experience the region (visit local villages, drive down the gorge road for spectacular viewpoints, visit the amazing Chauvet cave exhibition etc) we recommend that you have some transport because public transport is very limited.
