HOLIDAY INFORMATION
This short break option includes the two-day UNGUIDED river trip through the spectacular Ardeche gorge and includes a total of 4 nights accommodation at our 3* HOTEL (see ‘The Hotel’ tab for details). The river trip covers the full 32km of the Gorges de l’Ardeche from Vallon Pont d’Arc to Saint Martin d’Ardeche. It consists of an 8km section and a 24km section.
The 8km mini trip on the first day only takes about 2 hours but you can have up to 4 or 5 hours in total so that you can spend time by the river having lunch, going for a swim, jumping from rocks, or just relaxing and enjoying your surroundings.
The 24km day covers the entire gorge section and will require about 5-6 hours of paddling to complete. For this day you will need to start by 9:30 am.
No bivouac tickets or camping equipment required.
You have requested to have the Prestige room at the hotel which has a private balcony with great views and a private hot tub!

Your Itinerary
You will go directly to the reception of the hotel where they will have your booking ready and they will show you your room. You have the PRESTIGE room reserved for all 4 nights.
A senior member of staff (usually the same person will also be your river guide) will meet you at the hotel to ensure you are happy with the arrangements and are ready for your river trip.
You can check in at the hotel anytime between 3pm and 8pm on your arrival day and will need to check out by 10:30am on the morning of your departure.
You have the option to book your room only or include breakfast with your booking.

*The river trip covers the full 32km of the Gorges de l’Ardeche from Vallon Pont d’Arc to Saint Martin d’Ardeche. It consists of two days of paddling and includes 30 white-water rapids (grade 2).
The Hotel
The hotel is situated directly opposite the famous Pont d’Arc but set back just far enough (300m) to provide seclusion and tranquillity away from this popular tourist destination. There is also access for hotel residents onto the pebble beach directly opposite the hotel as well as the new swimming pool, refurbished rooms, and extended sun terrace.
There is a large car park next to the hotel for guests and it is recommended that you have some transport to best experience the whole area in your free time. However, local taxi’s are available. All rooms are en-suite with telephone and tv facilities. Internet access can also be achieved from the hotel with free wi-fi access.
Situated only 6km along the gorge road from the town of Vallon-Pont-d’Arc, the hotel is a popular destination for the French tourists who prefer the tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle. A great opportunity to really experience this magical and welcoming part of France nestled right on the edge of the nature reserve.
